Map of the Soul: 7

Global superstar group BTS have released their seventh studio album, Map of the Soul: 7. The album was released on February 21, 2020, as the follow-up to their 2019 EP (or Extended Play) Map of the Soul: Persona. The album has already broken sales and streaming records just two weeks after its release.

The album has sold 422,000 units in the United States alone in its first week after release, and two million copies in South Korea just two hours after release, setting a new record for the best selling album of the year so far. The album's lead single, ON, has sold 85,000 units and has reached the 4th position atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 

BTS have reached the 4th position, a new career-best since their 2019 single, Boy With Luv, featuring Halsey.

The album features 20 tracks, including much of their previous 2019 EP, and a second version of the lead single featuring pop singer Sia. It also features 7 member solos, and songs which deal with being true to one self, among other topics. They achieve this diving into a wide variety of genres, such as R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop.
